Today I woke up in a great and cheerful mood, surprising for a Monday morning. Generally on Mondays I usually begin by texting my co-worker and typing something like "I want to be on vacation, right now" or "Can you put Baileys in your coffee?" or "I wonder if I'll get diarrhea after a 5 hr energy drink?"or even, "I'm getting up right now, NO SHOWER TUESDAY!" Yup those are usually my mornings, but today I had an inspirational morning, beginning with a face wash, some clean teeth, a strong cup of Revv and my laptop. I wrote a one page list of what I'm thankful for....that was the best thing I've done in a while. I've recently added listening to audio books (audible) as part of my required and mandated self care, a book I last listened to was "What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast" and behold one of those rich and successful guys woke up every morning and wrote lists of what he was thankful for. Pure genius! Not only does it help in feeling humble, but its a great way to start the morning. According to my text messages I was in a great mood all throughout the morning, and most of the day.
So why blog? Well, this is a more acceptable form of ranting than facebook statuses! Ha, no, well besides that I'd like to think that blogging will serve several purposes. #1 its a form of self care by releasing thoughts of the day #2 its a great way for friends to keep in touch #3 Aside from having a diarrhea mouth from time to time, there may be issues that I'm going through that are shared feelings. Whether that be a personal issue I'm dealing with, or a common emotion. #4 Why not?
I hope you'll enjoy reading about my day to day life, my frustrations, my journey towards becoming a Social Worker, my steps towards personal goals, my texts from Bennett moments, and inspirationals!
May I add, I cannot WAIT for your texts from bennet moments. xo
